Rental Conflicts in Dubai Can Now be Heard in the Metaverse

At GITEX Global 2023, the Dubai Land Department Rental Dispute Center will showcase its cutting-edge digital services.

After the introduction of new technology, Dubai rental disputes can be heard in the metaverse and AI-powered robot judges preside over court proceedings.

The Rental Dispute Centre (RDC) of the Dubai Land Department is participating in GITEX Global 2023 and presenting its complete and modernized digital activities.

RDC debuted Metaverse Litigation, a ground-breaking virtual platform that pioneered the use of metaverse technology for real estate litigation proceedings, at the Digital Dubai Pavilion, exhibit number 2.

The objective is to create a better experience to all stakeholders by providing a unique and innovative approach to settling rental disputes.

RDC is also offering the ground-breaking Judicial Probe service to GITEX guests.

This innovative idea, which is currently available via the new website, consists of an integrated court that uses AI to provide the full range of the center’s litigation services.

With the use of this technology, a litigant can start a case—for example, a request for eviction for failure to pay rent—and have a decision within minutes, all without the involvement of a judge.

The Government’s Directions to Integrate Artificial Intelligence into all Services Given are in Line with This Aim.

According to Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of the Dubai Land Department, the implementation of Metaverse Litigation and the activation of the Judicial Probe mark a change in the way litigation services are offered as well as a dedication to embracing cutting-edge technologies to improve the rental judicial system and keep pace with emerging trends.

The head of the Rental Dispute Center, Judge Abdulkadir Mousa, emphasized the importance of the development in technology.

He also emphasized how these virtual platforms represent RDC’s ongoing commitment to improving its judicial system in accordance with international best practices and how the metaverse litigation system is slated to provide an interactive experience to streamline litigation procedures, setting new standards in this field.

The Rental Disputes Centre is also displaying a variety of cutting-edge digital services as part of its participation at GITEX 2023.

One of the most important of these is its newly updated, independent website, which provides a full range of services for rental and joint ownership property disputes.

The Kashif platform, a digital instrument created to simplify and hasten the execution of rulings, was also emphasized by the RDC.

This platform uses digital integration with numerous government organizations, such as the Dubai Land Department, the Roads and Transport Authority, and others, to reveal the properties and assets possessed by the person against whom execution is sought.

When a file for an execution is opened on the website of the Rental Dispute Centre, an automated process is started.

Additionally, RDC offers its clients access to free legal counsel that informs them of the rights of all parties engaged in a rental arrangement prior to filing a lawsuit through its Smart Judge service.

Additionally, before drafting a lease contract, parties can use the Rental Status Sheet service to find out the other party’s rental status in the RDC’s system.
